Financial Aid Awards

Financial Aid Awards are “need-based” only. Barrow Street determines eligibility in conjunction with the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). Scholarships are awarded each year to approximately 15% of students.

Admissions decisions are made without regard to whether a family has submitted an application for Financial Aid. However, acceptance to Barrow Street does not guarantee the School’s ability to meet the financial needs of every candidate.

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) interested in applying for financial aid must submit a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in addition to the required tax materials listed below. SSS analyzes a family’s financial information to determine how much they can afford to pay towards tuition. Barrow Street is subsequently provided with the results of this analysis.

As part of our mission to serve an economically diverse community, Barrow Street is thrilled to announce that it will cover full tuition for families earning up to $150,000 annually (without significant assets).

As with all families applying for and receiving tuition assistance, families must complete the required admissions steps and the financial aid application. If your child is accepted to Barrow Street, and financial eligibility is verified, your family will receive full tuition. All financial aid applications are completed through SSS and fee waivers will be provided for those earning less than $150,000. *Please reach out to awarren@barrowstreetnursery.org for a waiver.

All financial aid recipients need to reapply each year. If a family earns more than $150,000 during their time here, they would be included in the general financial aid process. Families typically receive awards ranging from 12% – 99%.

We encourage all families interested to apply for financial aid and hope this new program allows more families to join our vibrant community!
