How is it already January?! We feel like it was just yesterday we were meeting everyone for the first time at classroom visits. We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break. We are so happy to be reunited and have loved hearing the children share about bits and pieces of their time away from school. Thank you for your continued partnership, we’re looking forward to a wonderful start to the new year!
Welcome Back, White Room!
When the White Room doors opened, no time was wasted, and the children dove right back into all the fun! We continued our exploration of ‘snow’ (baking soda and shaving cream), built numerous structures with Magna-Tiles and Haba blocks, created some cardboard mark-making with oil pastels, and began engaging in dramatic play with a kitchen and dining room setup. We also tried out some new snacks, such as jam sandwiches, avocado, and oranges. Check it out below:
See You Later, Megan. Hello Kyleigh!
At the end of December, we said ‘See You Later’ to Megan, and we have now introduced the White Room to Movement with Kyleigh! We join Kyleigh in the movement room on Thursdays. In these visits, the children continue to explore all that their growing bodies can do, providing them opportunities to practice fine and gross motor skills, as well as motor planning and coordination.
Ask Your Child
Did you have a jam sandwich for snack? Did you like it?
Did you use scarves during movement? What did you do with them? (squeeze, throw, hide under them)
