That Magnetic Pull

✨ Magnetic Discovery! ✨

Did you realize our young scholars are miniature researchers? 🕵️‍♂️🔍 They thrive by investigating, scrutinizing, and engaging in sensory investigations to decode the mechanics of their environment.

For the past two weeks, they have ventured into the enchanting realm of magnets! 🧲 It’s a fun way to nurture that inherent inquisitiveness.

How does it function?

Magnetism is that fascinating “invisible bond” that draws two objects together! Even across a gap, magnets connect through their Magnetic Field—a hidden “energy orbit” encircling them that attracts specific elements. 🌟

Week 2: Building with Magnatiles and Loose Parts

Key Learning Benefits

STEM Foundation: It introduces basic physics concepts like attraction, repulsion, and polarity without complex terminology.

Fine Motor Skills: Manipulating small pieces and precisely aligning tiles strengthens hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity, which are foundational for writing.

Cognitive Growth: Children practice making predictions (hypothesizing what will be magnetic) and analyzing results, which fosters critical thinking.

Social Development: Collaborative work, such as building with magnets, encourages teamwork, negotiation, and verbal communication as children share ideas for their designs.
