Freeze Frame! Pre-K Outlines Take Over the Gym

Moving, Making, and Moving Some More!

Our Pre-K students recently jumped into an exciting project that blended science, movement, and art. The school gym and track are now lined with life-sized, colorful silhouettes of our 4/5s learners in action.

Anatomy in Action

In science, students explored how their bodies move, bend, and balance. They put this knowledge to work during movement class by striking dynamic physical poses. Partners then worked together to trace each other’s outlines onto large paper. This collaborative effort required great focus, teamwork, and spatial awareness.

Bringing the Outlines to Life

Once traced, the children decorated their shapes with vibrant colors and patterns. Their masterpieces were carefully cut out. We hung these active silhouettes all around the track and gym walls.

The kids were incredibly engaged throughout the entire process and loved seeing their movement poses displayed so proudly.

A Challenge for Parents

Parents, we invite you to take a look around the gym and track during your next visit. Can you find your child’s outline?

Once you spot it, you are welcome to take it home to keep the movement conversation going!
