We’ve learned about LINE, COLOR and SHAPE so we’re clearly ready to move on to ARCHITECTURE.
I showed the class images of various buildings from around the world: some very mundane, simple structures and some real stand outs like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
With these images as inspiration, I asked the class to draw a building, or several into a Cityscape. Once the drafting was complete, we moved on to painting with watercolors and really brought them to life.
